I think it could work, if it properly follows rules where documentation is expected, but I personally wouldn't have it top prio. I tend to write down specifics among others clarification not present exactly like it in code. So I'd think that without processing other docs/specs it won't deliver the right quality you'd want it to be to be most/more valuable.
