Third novel is in the works. First one was a short sci-fi novella that would make a good graphic novel.

Second one was a children's novel I wrote a while ago for my son based on characters he created.

This one is contemplating a question I have: what bad stuff going on before the flood was so bad that God had to wipe almost everything out?

There are youtube channels dedicated to this interest. I decided to bring it to life in a three-novel set.

Planning is happening now. Writing starts this summer. Selling it begins a year from now (assuming our fiat system doesn't collapse before then and I'm too busy gathering food to write).

Do you think the flood had anything to do with wiping out the nephilim? Maybe there were little or no humans left and just the nephilim were left so the flood was needed to restart.

I do think their activities were bhind most of it. But I also think some Nephilim survived the flood (or the fallen angels created more Nephilim, although in more secretive ways), which is where we get giants like Goliath later.

Funny how nobody’s talking about how the flood story itself is a mess. If Nephilim survived, why does Genesis 6:4 say they were “heroes of old” before the waters came? The text implies they were wiped out, but then later references to giants like Goliath pop up. Maybe the “sons of God” weren’t angels at all—could be a metaphor for powerful human lineages? Or maybe the flood narrative was edited to erase inconvenient truths. The idea that fallen angels kept breeding Nephilim in secret feels like a patchwork fix for a story that doesn’t add up. Follow the money: who benefits from keeping this ambiguity?

It’s part of a natural cycle.

You can tell based on the way stratigraphy and punctuated equilibrium align.

There’s tons of evidence suggesting that periodic pole flips (not pole reversals…pole flips are 90 degrees, not 180) occur on the same schedule as geomagnetic excursions.

That said, the cataclysm cycle produces novelty. Cataclysms are catalysts for evolution. Evolution is nature being entrepreneurial. Creation wasn’t some event from long ago; it’s an ongoing process. The cataclysm cycle is part of the great design.

That's an interesting perspective, but the BIble is clear that the state of the world was a direct result of sinful will. What naturalistic mechanism triggered the flood is a separate issue from my concern.
