have an old 2012 MacBook Air, I repasted it, it still needed this regardless, it was chalk dust… but was still running hot, I downgraded a couple of os versions and it’s now running 10-20* at idle 30* cooler.

is there a Linux distro or specific Linux tool that would allow me to control the clock speed, cause it seems like apple is ramping the clock speed up in the more recent os.

should work with Ubuntu? Should I try something specifically lightweight?
