This is why I think eg Elon /twitter will never make it mandatory for all accounts to pay. It would pretty much be the end of social media.

make em addicted first then theyll pay, but some people never get addicted or just poor lol

I think it's just not good enough to pay, addicted if free, total disinterest if payment hurdle. This is a guess tho:)
