there is races of humans with similar reputations, one famous one is called "gypsy" as a perjorative, they are also very quick witted and agile little buggers, mostly short stature and big ears (sound familiar?)
If only there were some sort of Peer to Peer Electronic Cash System then we could liberate the Federation from Ferengi financial oppression 👀
those guys are pretty jumpy, you just have to yell at them and they run away tho
not really oppressive unless you are ignorant of their grifting ways
