we have a neighbor who is very personally offended we are living off grid.
for a while, they regularly made anonymous calls reporting us to “the authorities” to the point the authorities stopped listening to them. so they waited a few years and have started back up again. we know, and have a good relationship with all our neighbors but these. no one talks to them because they are crazy and unapproachable.

What do you mean by off grid? What is the most usual thing that mught haver triggered him?

this not a “balanced” situation with two sides to the story. there usually is. but not in this case. were dealing with an obsessive who has anonymously called “the authorities” on everyone on our road. so curious to see where it goes.

What is the substance of their complaints to the authorities?
that we pull water from a protected salmon stream. which is why their complaints usually fall flat since we cant actually access the stream from our property.

More than once. Im no longer the person i once was. if they fully understood what that means, they would be thankful.
the results have often been that the hippies who work at the county come out, see whats going on, and leave us alone. some even become friends. i think that is one of the things that is bothering the neighbor so much.
its why im curious to see how this round turns out.
