Lately I’ve been feeling less afraid of the coming digital IDs and social credit systems. Not because I don’t think they’ll happen, but rather because I don’t think they’ll be able to stop the sovereign individual.

Fearing the collective dystopia only makes sense if the collectivists have power to exert. #Bitcoin denies them this power. An oppressed people (or person) can get up and leave, taking all their wealth with them.

In such an environment, social credit restrictions have no teeth. So will we have social credit scores? Probably. But every Bitcoiner has a GFY card ready to play at a moment’s notice.
