Incredibly sad news coming out of the Mara this morning re King Olobor a magnificent King of his pride.

‘So tremendous sad news and heartbreaking we are that King Olobor is gone. The killing occurred about Jan 27th or so and then his brother Oloshipa was seen alone with Maji ya fisi pride. Hard to imagine how stressful Oloshipa would be that he won’t be able to find his dearest brother again. This is outrageous we lost another our favorite animal. He didn’t fell to his rival lions ; he didn’t fall to buffalos; he didn’t charge to 30 hyenas. Now we were told he fell to humans. The next target could be Oloshipa as we know Oloshipa also hunted cows.’

I understand the herders need to protect their cattle however when they manage to completely wipe out lions in the Mara the tourism will cease.
