The dollar-based system can't collapse without a ready replacement, and nothing can handle that volume yet. People are piling into gold because current leadership's decisions, threats, and unclear policies have created massive market fog and unpredictability.

Those that hold the most assets to invest are (older) traditionalist. Their ignorance impedes their ability to get past the complexities and security vulnerabilities of Bitcoin. Buying Gold has historical simplicity and price stability relative to crypto, so it's the go-to haven until things become more predictable. I wish it was Bitcoin but not yet.
