For some reason I feel compelled to confess I’ve never been a fan of social media. I find it overwhelming and distracting, filled with meaningless content. I don’t feel this way about Nostr, it’s refreshing to see a dynamic group of people sharing common ideals and goals.

I haven’t dedicated much time or thought to promoting myself online. I’ve never engaged in any online marketing for my business. Instead, I’ve built my network in the real world by networking with designers, contractors, and architects. My phone just rings now. I’m never lacking a project to work on and I haven’t spent much time documenting or posting anything. I know I am missing a big opportunity here.

I prefer real-world interactions. I enjoy the tangible and visceral nature of them. I don’t like sitting at a computer or staring at my phone screen for very long. I shy away from being recognized and promoting myself to strangers online.

I believe in Bitcoin and Nostr and hope I can figure out how to contribute meaningfully. I also want to get better at interacting digitally both in my work and socially as I know it will greatly enhance it.
