yeah it's for sure a good spot to have a honeymoon i'm sure, nice weather most of the year on the southern side of the island... Sao Martinho or Ponta do Sol or Ribeira Brava or Caniso or Machico, all very nice spots with some nice hotels and things to do and see, i guess even central Funchal has a lot as well, just a bit more busy

there's not really any sandy beaches though, a few artificial ones in bays here and there like at machico and ponta do sol
