I want Bitcoin to separate money from the state

Hard to predict the future, but I see many possible outcomes where it will be advantageous to own Bitcoin. Will it be used as currency in the United States? I don't know. Maybe a little, maybe a lot, maybe not really at all. It's still a good medium to save your wealth in even if you have to convert it to another currency to spend it later.
