Nostr feels like ethereum in 2016. Just discovering metamask. Before mass adoption we need the concept of a multisig and account abstraction.

It seems like a demotion to compare anything to ethereum, a captured protocol, that is struggling for survival, not decentralized and pretty much captured by the system.

Nostr was started by an ex-ethereum developer. But he possibly leans more towards bitcoin now, though sometimes I wonder. The issue with ethereum was that they had a very large premine, which they also lied about. So, it's proprietary. Most people on nostr prefer the relatively non-proprietary bitcoin, to ethereum. In the same way that they prefer open source to proprietary solutions. That's not to say there is not innovation in the proprietary, but it can be often ported over.
