I have a wifi usb adapter to connect my pc to my internet. Will that still work when I install Debian?

I plan on using a usb stick to install. I know you need internet to finish that way.

It’s net gear and similar to this pic.

I'm fairly confident that it would with Ubuntu. Not sure about Debian. Good luck!

save yourself alot of headaches and use ethernet. Reliability, simplicity, security, speed.

Yeah I’m going to temporarily move my router so I can plug it in during the install.

Yeah I've got a really long Ethernet cable for such occasions.

WiFi always seems to have a problem until it's setup.

I use to have a couple long ones in my gaming days.

But this just made me realize that I can put the computer in the basement and run a cable to it.

The spot it is at doesn’t really matter anymore. I’m not going to spend a lot of time on it.

I realised this once i started running a headless boxes.

Shit - these things could be sitting anywhere instead of cluttering my desk.

Yeah! I could just put it out of the way downstairs below the router and I don’t even have to keep the monitor and keyboard there forever.
