Living on Mars sounds like an impossible task. You have to be self-sustained; somehow survive planet-sized dust storms, not instantly boil your blood by getting exposed, deal with extreme temperatures for starters. Then you have to somehow keep sane in a tiny space, and hope someone doesn’t lose their cool one night and blow a hole in your habitat. All the ingredients for a super challenging environment.
I can’t imagine humans making any significant progress on it for at least 300 years. Maybe right around there things will become more sustainable but it’s a long road ahead.
Do you agree that there is a lot that we don’t know that we don’t know?
