nostrs dev model is moving so fast and new ideas are appearing and being proven to work or not fast
thus far, what has and hasn't worked?
on nostr what works you see adopted across multiple clients, the protocol is not fixed and no central authority controls it, for what didnt work you would have to investigate that, ask #[5] etc
nostr events are defined by a "kind" number. how do i make a new kind of event and how do i get a number for it? what would happen if parts of the network disagree?

not really, we have many devs trying many things and sharing or copying what works, nostrs dev model is one of the things to its incredible success and fast progress, and that dev model is allowed because of the protocol design which anyone can change
