Elon has shown no interest in competing in this field so far. He’s more interested in building new technologies that aims to improve humanity by x100 factors.
The only field I would see him get into could be quantum computing in relation to AI but for traditional computing, it’s not going to happen within 10 years, and we are very far from any mass market penetration for quantum computers.
He has a huge desire to build a phone.
I wasn’t aware of that. Okay let’s assume he is.
What is his revolutionary phone going to improve over what we have today? Was there any breakthrough ideas?
I could see a path where he gets a large majority market share by building a phone which manage to bridge the device and the human through a Neuralink interface, with AI powering the software part.
He’s not going to be the only one in this market.
He’s also not going to get public funding for that.
