Expecting people to send you money to prove they aren't bots makes no sense.
What stops a bot from receiving sats from other people which they can then send to "prove" they aren't bots?
I haven't spent a cent on this but I get SATs from people for comments sometimes.

Yes that's what I am saying, anyone making bot accounts can set up a lightning addresses and program the bots to send 1 sat to trick someone like you into thinking they aren't a bot.
It makes much more sense to look at their replies to check if they're a bot.
Math is hard.
Bot farmers send tens, hundreds, thousands, millions of tweets, notes, replies etc with almost ZERO cost. Add one sat to all that bullshit and they now lose all their power to harvest you and your data.
