Bitcoin mining doesn’t boil the oceans. It’s actually the most transparent electricity consumer and one of the most efficient industries in the world.
It converges towards the most inexpensive form of electricity, creates incentives for renewable sources to get developed, creates a more stable electricity distribution grid, and also makes use of surplus energy that can’t get stored and would otherwise get wasted.
In comparison with other industries, Bitcoin consumes orders of magnitude less energy than air conditioning and only twice as much as idle televisions. It’s on par with fridges – inventions whose usefulness in relation to the environmental damage nobody questions.
To learn more about Bitcoin’s electricity consumption and why it’s not as bad as the mainstream media makes it look, read the Breaking FUD magazine 🔥
