I’m no stranger to protests and maybe I’ve narrowed down the things I’m advocating for, thus my focus is elsewhere, but if there’s anything I’ve learned as a participant - it’s wonderful to exercise your right to protest, but I hope people don’t forget to continue having civil discourse. I hope people actually get motivated to change laws and not do anything more and let it all fade away as a memory that sits on your Instagram highlights.
