Use it or lose it is a saying that's thrown around. Its a truth. If we don't use Bitcoin the suits will snap it all up for their fiat projects. They will (already are) introduce rules to force you to tell them who you are, who you are sending/spending to and where you keep your stash. Why? So they can enforce their taxes on you.
"But we can leave and live in El Salvador". You could vote with your feet and they may work for some but didn't they just give up the BTC has to be accepted for an IMF " loan"?
Never trust, verify. In this case, were politicians are concerned, you can drop the last word. By all means save in Bitcoin but spend what you can and replace it. Replace it with KYC free exchanges, better still P2P trades. Create a market, it'll get called a black market but who gives a fuck?

They won't use it. The only thing 99% of those people is buying and stacking that old tech in the hope that someday it can become their retirement income.
So they won't use it. They just hope more governments and investment funds can drive the price up but they will never need or use crypto in their lives.
These are the same people who buy stocks and things like that. They won't care about privacy, KYC or worry about repression because they won't go against the flow either.
Those are your average boomer coin adopters. If they'd do understand technology or crypto at all, they would all be using Monero by now.
