I found an even better way, without the need for the additional Trailscale VPN app

- Install "Lightning Terminal" app (I'm using Umbrel so that was 1-click)

- Once installed, open Lightning Terminal and select "Connect with QR"

- Open Zeus (I'm on iOS), add a new node config

- Select "LND (Lightning Node Connect)" option

- Scan the QR

- Save, then connect. Boom! Nice and quick connection 💜

Awesome just sent you some sats as a thank you! 🤘 any chance you’ve tried sending sats from that node when you’re not on your local Wi-Fi? I had trouble with that as well, maybe this addresses that too!

Thanks! 💜⚡️! Not yet, that’s the dream. I’m trying to get away from using these custodial Lightning wallets and just have everything coming and going from my node.

Obviously I could just log in via onion browser and send/receive like that, but man what a pain. That’s why I like the look of Zeus, has all of those nice mobile wallet functionality but connected to your home node.

Agreed! That’s why I have my Alby wallet for now but would much rather be able to fully transact both on chain and lightning directly through my node. Looking forward to the advancements in UX as time goes on for sure 🤙

Let me know how the lnd connect route goes for you. Might have spoken too soon.

First connection was a dream. Killed the app and re-launched, won’t connect again without me deleting and re-configuring. 🤯
