In 2014, Martijn Wismeijer became the world’s first Bitcoin cyborg by implanting a wallet-storing NFC chip in his hand.

9 years later, his chip is still functional but runs different software. In more recent times, he reprogrammed it to point to his LNURL or connect to his Nostr account. According to Martijn, the chip can be rewritten and repurposed up to 100,000 times, which is more than enough for a lifetime.
