Yea I found those very interesting as well. You familiar with Legalman/The Quash?
Discussion
Ah, I googled him. I have heard of him somewhere, but never listened to The Quash before. Just added it to my listen later list.
He plays Mr Jones in Larken's movie. But the reason I asked is he did a few episodes that were a convo with I think ChatGPT and he's a former lawyer and got some interesting answers about government and legitimacy of it. He out lawyered the bot. But his show is real good. Nothing religious themed but he's pretty solid philosophically
Ah right, I watched the online release of The Jones Plantation where everyone had a talk afterwards and Legalman was there. That's why his name is familiar.
Been slackin on watching that. Been waiting so long for its release, just havent had time to sit down for a movie. Good flick?
It was worth watching for sure. What it lacked in terms of sound track, audio quality, editing and occasion bouts of poor acting, it more than made up for with thought provoking content. It was great for its budget and what it was.
I particularly enjoyed the modern politic jokes/memes dressed in the costumes of past eras, that somehow made them funnier. I suspect there are more eggs than I spotted the first time I watched it, so eventually rewatching is on my to-do list.
Oh Im an aged out old school punk/hardcore 'kid'. I appreciate lofi productions. Part of why I cant watch many movies or shows anymore. The nonsensical politicization of it all aside, I just cannot stand all the over use of CGI and related technologies.
Oh, The Jones Plantation will be right up your alley then. I think the overt politicisation of TV/movies went the wrong way ages ago, I barely watch anything in English any more, some Korean stuff is still just about good storytelling even if they rely on tropes.
But I have a few things to do with the technical side of podcasts and live streaming for church so I'm uselessly sensitive to poor colour correction, lighting, sound etc. I get frustrated that someone didn't fix it and that takes away from simply enjoying it.
