First mistake in picture reward yourself for milestones. Every step is not a milestone & we live in an age where people do one thing then demand a pat on the back or they give up. This kind of thinking turns people into pansies aka slaves to the champions.

A productive person does not need to measure the goals because they know what needs to be done to make the goal. They also won't pat themselves on the back because they know the work isn't finished yet. A really productive goal oriented person will only reward themselves when the job is done because tomorrow brings a new work order & only real people truly understand work hard play harder.
