Noncustodial Lightning is digital shit. I hate to say it, but it's an absolute fucking nightmare to use. I'm not saying Monero is better (I haven't used it in years), but Lightning isn't an own from a noncustodial perspective.
At worst they're both shit. But there's no shit category here that doesn't include noncustodial Lightning lol
It may be different with custodial, but that doesn't interest me so much.
I have pretty good results with Zeus and a single channel to their node.

Same. But that's just it. Eventually, and with fucking around. I can't imagine trusting it while standing in line at a merchant. I will absolutely have an alternative payment method and may not even try just given how long it takes to start up most of the time. I admire the work and progress, but it's not where people seem to think it is. It especially sucks ass for higher amounts. It was a nightmare to send myself 250k sats today to another wallet. Had to fuck around and finally break it up to get them to go through
Phoenix is an okay middleground and what I'm most likely to use in the wild at this point.
Get a channel with Blixt, i get better results and fees are cheaper
Tried using Boltz' node? Fees should be even cheaper, tho not sure how successfull it would rout.
Does it support Private Channels?
Think so, but haven't tested yet.
We currently still accept private channels on our LND (https://amboss.space/node/026165850492521f4ac8abd9bd8088123446d126f648ca35e60f88177dc149ceb2).
That being said, we are already running a pretty strict channel policy, meaning if your channel has balance on our side and isn't used sufficiently, we close. Also we plan accepting private channels on our LND soon too.
Tl;dr: Boltz is not a LSP and probably not what you are looking for 🙏

Also cash requires you to spend the amount you want to receive first, else you do not have inbound liquidity.
