It will take at least 10 years for China to catch up to US at AI but no matter how bad China is, it is still far more better than Japan and EU

Outside of factory/industry, where the Germans are quite far along, I agree.
Are they really that far behind? Got a source on their having trouble catching up?
Unless of course, some Chinese companies happen to "borrow" the research and/or trained weights of the leading models
context depends on hardware or software then usage n energy consumption - AI is not product to ship except of the HW
