I agree completely about the mirror aspect. I would add that women have raised the bar a lot. You can view at it as good or bad but it doesn’t really matter because it is reality. Single women now outearn single men on average. And they are more likely to complete their education compared to men. So the bar has definitely been raised. You can’t just be a high school graduate with a factory job like the boomers could a long time ago. But it also means that if you can become a top earner, who is also healthy, attractive, and intelligent, then you have a lot more options with high quality women. They complain about women when it’s much easier to outcompete other men than ever before.

As a man, there's a curve. In the beginning you fixate on overcoming the competition, then you find out you are your only competition. Both parts of the journey are important. In the first part you buildup, then you sharpen your skills until you die. 😁

As for what has changed for a woman, well, most get in 24h more interactions than one would get 200y ago in a lifetime. Dopamine levels skyrocketed. This is a fact. People are adapting to this new style of living. Sounds harder to play, but it will make absolute sense only looking back on the love life, regarding the reasons for each interaction - which you don't/can't understand in real-time almost never.
