We wouldn't have read his thoughts otherwise... and even though its feels unnecessary to emphasize the obvious, I agree innocent human life is sacred and should never be taken for personal, political or any other gain or ideology.

It appears to be highly calculated and coordinated how the media referrs to his manifesto. They say its 'radical environmentalism' which was about as far from the point as you can get, quite disgusting. Environmentalism was Kaczynski's preferred alternative to the underlying societal disease, but it was far from his primary motivation.

The only reason I can glean from this gross misrepresentation is the media is aware if they correctly would summarize his observations, many plain-thinking people would take interest in it and find that he has a persuasive explanation for the psychological root of the societal rot. He introduces the concept of oversocialization, perhaps an original idea, but a lens that leads one, for the first time, to see the cause of many common delusions and mental dysfunctions to come into focus undistorted.

Kaczynski was a monster and criminally insane, but what he wrote contained a powerful insight.
