It is very important to have the ability to reverse out of bad ideas.
Our van doesn't have a functional reverse anymore, and my husband mentioned how some days ago when he'd tried a different path out of our neighborhood (that's all dirt roads) he discovered how important reverse would have been. Since he didn't have it, it took him almost an hour to get out of a bad sandy spot.
When he shared it, it dawned on me how it's a great principle beyond getting physically stuck in sand.
Life is about trying new things. Sometimes they work out, and other times they don't. However, a lot of people will keep putting time, effort, and money into a bad idea because they already started to.
(I'm blanking on the name, something like the fallacy of a sunk cause?)
Reverse is a great idea to use in these circumstances!
