I always thought his cowboy hat schtick was lame. The guy is always wearing a cowboy hat. Kind of sus.
#bitcoin I'm thinking we should shun influencers who don't actually use nostr. Some are just crossposting from twitter without ever interacting with people here. Look at nostr:npub10vlhsqm4qar0g42p8g3plqyktmktd8hnprew45w638xzezgja95qapsp42 - look at his interaction with people. There's no interaction. None. Except, apparently he opened nostr one time just to mute me, after I pointed out exactly this as a reply to one of his notes. He could've just proved me wrong, and I would've used the opportunity to tell him I liked his book, but he decided to mute instead. But that's fine - I mute people too, and its just a tool to personalize your nostr experience. The problem is these influencers treating people on #nostr like they don't matter. The dude never replies - to **_anything_** - unless you're an influencer. He boosts influencers. Not a peep to a pleb, though. He's not the only one. The real bitcoiners are here on nostr, interacting with real people, not larping on censorship platforms. But half of the influencers aren't here. And the ones that are, they mostly just circle jerk with the other influencers.
This is unacceptable behavior. Luckily, we can all speak freely on nostr. So I'm calling it out. Jimmy - unacceptable. Other influencers - mostly unacceptable. Bitcoiners - stop letting these people walk over you. Stop fawning after them. Well, you do you. This is my humble suggestion only. Speak up. I can't be the only one annoyed with this behavior.

It is kinda a red flag. I thought it was endearing, and I'm a Texan, but it seems more like a costume now.
I’m a Texan as well. The last time I saw a real cowboy with mud on his boots was about two years ago. They’re rare around north Texas, sadly because I love a man in a cowboy hat. ðŸ¤
He’s a software engineer.
