-THE BORACAY ISLAND LIFE-

Have you ever wondered why most classical and later Renaissance sculptures feature small penises?
In ancient Greece, a large penis was linked to barbarism, unchecked lust, and folly, traits often embodied by mythical creatures like satyrs. These guys were depicted with huge, exaggerated dicks to highlight their wild, animalistic, or even comedic nature.
On the other hand, a small, compact, unaroused penis symbolized moderation, the mark of a civilized man.
Heroes, athletes, and gods were depicted this way to emphasize rationality over base instincts, ensuring the viewer's focus remained on the body's overall equilibrium rather than any distracting element.
So yeah, boasting around with a massive dick in the company of Plato and his followers? That probably screamed “barbaric, lustful fool.”
For example, the image above shows a silenus masturbating, a detail from side B of a Greek column krater featuring two sileni and a maenad in a Dionysiac scene.
