It really pisses me off when people lecture me about having my dog living in the same house as my children. She isn't a monster. In fact, she is better behaved than the snappy gremlin Pomeranian this same person has. She's a big baby. I live above a store, so I'd have issues if she was remotely mean. Sad enough I had to lie about the breed when I registered her just so I would be able to find an apartment rental. People hear Pitbull or pitbull mix and it's an instant "no"
I swear, most people don't understand dogs. Both dogs I have had in my life were expensive dogs I got for free because they had behavior problems. The dogs were fine, the previous owners behavior was the problem.
Exactly, bad owners create bad dogs. My kids have been around APBT's since they were 1 & 3 years old, not once have I ever worried about stepping out of a room and leaving them with the dogs. I'd trust my kids alone with my dog before I would most humans.
