Me: Is it humid outside?

Roommate: No.

Me: How is it not humid outside?

RM: It just didn't feel humid to me.

Me: I'm looking at the app right now. It says it's 88% humidity.

RM: It just didn't feel humid to me.

Me: Is it possible you don't know what humid means? It refers to moisture or dampness in the air.

RM: I know what it means. I just didn't think it felt humid.

Me: *steps outside* For God's sake it feels like the bathroom after someone takes a hot shower. This doesn't feel humid to you?

RM: Well you know how you always say DC is humid? It doesn't feel like that.

Me: ... Is it possible you're conflating temperature and humidity? Those are two separate and independent variables. The air can be hot and humid, but it can also be cold and humid. Again, humidity refers to moisture or dampness in the air. It has nothing to do with temperature.

RM: Well okay. That's good to know then.
