Just heard from someone who lost his #Mastodon account unexpectedly. Don't forget to export an archive regularly, especially if you're on one of the smaller instances. It could go away without warning, leaving you disconnected from your followers. The option is somewhat buried in the settings, making it easy to forget. #backup
