Like with water fasting, they can be a positive if done rarely. With plunges, do away from exercise. AM is best.

The problem is they give such a high that folks quickly become chronic fasters and plungers.

Sugar fast until your body is lean then move to a more moderate high carb, moderate protein, low (saturated) fat diet.

Sauna/hot baths are better than plunging for regular use.

Reminds me of carnivore in a way. It's such a profoundly effective intervention that people mistake it for a long term lifestyle, screwing themselves in the end.
