The key here is "were created from". Making the statement almost completely meaningless to me.

Every breath I take contains atoms that have been inside some now dead person.

Exactly. Imagine letting your kid get a painful and easily preventable disease because you think a strain of DNA taken from a clump of cells in the 1960s is worth more than your own living child.

Historically we called this "clump of cells" a baby and the process that made them available to be "taken" as infanticide.
