The liquor industry is completely captured by legacy organized crime and has some of the greatest government racket protection of any industry out there. It does not get enough crap for being one of the least free markets in existence.

It is also one of the three lobby groups that put the most pressure to keep cannabis illegal and listed as a schedule one drug.
