Sad part is, we don't need jpg's. Bitcoin is just money and it's sole purpose is to be a currency.
Miners need to be profitable to keep the network secure so Its not sad to me. Jpegs just help ensure bitcoins long term security model.
i think you can say we have nft's on bitcoin because miners have fiat loans on their farms.
i'm pretty sure that at least some of the miners are bankrolling the scams.
