What, Cashu doesn't need an internet connection? How does that work?
Discussion
I believe it's like a bearer asset as opposed to a ledger entry. So only connection between the transacting parties is necessary
no connection needed between parties, when sending you 'mint' an ecash note from your balance and when either one of the parties (sender or reciever) goes online/connects to mint then these notes are melted and marked as spent by the mint.
you can transact however many times you want and with multiple parties whilst offline and with almost no fee, but you are sending ecash and not satoshis. For LN or mainnet utxos you have to be connected to a mint whose LN node that is online.
