I've never played pickleball before, but that's the thing I'm going to go do on my day off tomorrow. Time to try new things and be more active. Been a real lazy ass the past 3 years.

big fun

It's a great sport! I retired from consulting and became a tennis teaching pro and high school tennis coach, but I also got my pickleball certification and try to play a few days/week during the winter.

It is much more approachable than tennis. It suits a variety of athleticism and is quicker to reach a competency where you can play and have fun. The concept of "open play" also makes it easy to get playing time with a variety of skill levels.

Several good pros on YouTube/Instagram if you want to hit the basics. Tyson McGuffin is my favorite, but I also like Enhance Pickleball, Brionnes, Simone Jardim...and a handful of others.

Seems like a great sport. My friend from church who invited me to play has got about 30 years on me and he plays 3 days a week every week. Knowing that has sort of shamed me into wanting to be more active myself.

Racquetball was one of my favorites. It’s an amazing workout as well.
