Democracy is mob rule.

Democracy protects individuals from the mob.

(Unless you're using the American definition in that case democracy just means the opposite of democracy [doublespeak])

It's the selection that's rigged.

They don't need to rig the elections, they only need to prevent anyone running that they see as a threat
