How many hashtags is too many in a note?
I try not to exceed 3-4, but curious on the general consensus on what’s spammy/annoying.

It has to do with relevance as well. Zapathon hashtag on every post on a Tuesday? That's spam. #asknostr on porn pics? Spam.
I really only use hashtags for a half hour on Thursday Friday and Saturday. And it's pretty much only zapathon. 😂
I mean to on some posts, but I usually forget. I think I max out at 3 for my dog posts. A list of hashtags sorted by popularity in the client would be helpful for some things. Hashtags are still a WiP for sure. #dogsofnostr #dogstr #doggo #dogs
I mean. I use others, but rarely. I dunno. I missed the whole social media side of them the last ten years so I almost have to force myself.
I've got nothing against them, but yeah lately it's like I've been following accounts I never followed for every post. Sometimes the content is fine, other times it's just spammy as you said.
I'm working on it, I don't wanna be extra spammier than I already am 😂🫂

i think it's not about quantity, but about the content fiting in the tag. If you can use correctly 6 tags, i see no problem, but generally the content only fit in 3 or 2.
I've seen relays reject events with >3
I'm not sure if I 💯 agree. But they're not wrong.
