Whenever people, mostly Westerners, hear of violent conflicts between tribes or nations in some countries in Africa, they think the entire continent is unsafe to visit. It is also the most common question I get asked, “Is it safe there?” Actually it is, if you’re thousands of kilometres from the conflict. Life does move on everywhere else.
