What I would say is more correct is secret, uncontrollable, and censorial algorithms are not desired but smart suggestions of relatable notes with settings and filters I could toggle are desired 😅 example if I could flip a switch and a fancy math problem (algorithm) would show me only notes that multiple people replied to with indications of laughter, and then I could flip it back when my humor quota was met, I would love that.

Yes! It’s not that algorithms are bad, it’s opaque unaccountable algorithms which are trying to manipulate us in to being addicted and clicking on advertisements that are the problem.
