You don’t really own your handle here either tbh.
you own your npub/nsec, but not your handle, that easily detectable for the human eye.
you could argue for NIP-05/Nostr address, but it’s barely impossible to remember who uses their username with which NIP-05, and especially when people change them from time to time

requested the @x owner to pick a new username, claiming the @x handle themselves and transferring the Twitter account over
