I honestly don't want to be sitting up on an airplane. I want to be horizontal and unconscious. I personally always liked those private sleeping pods on the spaceship in The Fifth Element.

Excellent. But there must be sufficient space for the head to be able to sit straight on that bed, and of course, a corridor to stand up straight.
Have you seen those Japanese sleeping pod hostels? They have that space, with little drinks compartments, screen etc.
But yes, so long as you can get out and walk around before you go back to sleep.
I had an ex who would only fly business class.
I'm way too cheap for that, I prefer to fly economy and pop a few pills to pass out for a while. Flying bunks would be a dream come true!
Flying V and Economy Sky Dream look cheap and dodgy enough to excite owners, and unimaginative enough to reassure regulators.
I agree completely. Whenever I see bunks of some kind discussed though it's treated like an abomination of cost cutting and airline profiteering.
