What do you do with visiting family? Guest house?

I like the idea of a small building that defaults to a home theatre + office and has a single guest wing in it.
Let's you get the screen out of the main house, makes movie night more of a destination, pushes computer work away from family mode, and gives guests full privacy and space.
In a multigenerational setup I'd probably do main house the senior house with the plan to move myself and the misses there when it's time.
