People enjoy pathologizing anything different. Medicine does not. If it ain’t a problem, it is not a problem, as a matter of definition. Medicine doesn’t just chuck common sense out the window.
Now if you were to say you can’t keep a job because you must wash your hands 20 times before you leave and you must check the house door is locked 20 times before you depart and you must do the same with your car door and wash your hands 20 times upon arrival to work, late because of all of the above, then we’re getting close to OCD.
If people think your weird because you alphabetize your spice rack and insist they remove their shoes right foot first upon entering your home, and hence you have no friends, then maybe OC personality disorder (distinct from OCD).
If you prefer shit organized and uncluttered and put in the work to maintain that state, you’re a grown up and a better man than I.
