I grew up going to a small Pentecostal church in the south. I still hold that close to my heart as I have a lot of great memories there. There was one pastor who would sing this verse, and I can't tell you how many times through my life I have drawn upon that. He was a great man and had an amazing wife. They would come over to my grandparents for buttermilk fried chicken, fried okra, cornbread and sweet tea after church sometimes and I would talk to him about his time in the Marines during Vietnam. Come to find out through others he was a pretty solid warrior (the war was worthless, and he knew that).

Anyways, I think about this verse often when things are rough throughout my life and it has helped me. I know some of you are believers and I know some of you aren't. That's okay, just know God loves you. If you're having a rough day I hope this can help you the way it brings me peace.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isiah 40:31
